    Summary

Hawkins is quiet. That's not the same thing as safe.

In the weeks after the holidays, something that felt temporary starts to feel real — a house that holds people, relationships that stop performing themselves, a group finding its shape around shared weight. Sophia knows what's coming. She's less sure she can stop it.

The list has names on it. And the silence Vecna has been keeping was never peace — it was preparation.

Off Script is the second book in the Wrong Side of the Screen series. Start with Book One: Screen Test — it won't make as much sense without it.

    Summary

Sharon Henderson's life has been rather uneventful since her family moved to Hawkins. However, since the Fall of 1983, things have begun to pick up. All she has to do is navigate the turmoils that came with being in her final years of High School, create more mixtapes then she can keep up with, read her books till they fall apart, make sure her Walkman never runs out of battery, keep her brother and his friends out of trouble while helping them save the world from inter-dimensional monsters. Add in the feelings she has begun to develop for a certain former jock and she certainly has her hands full.

    Summary

“I heard the U.S.S. Butterscotch is delicious.”

Steve jumped and spun his head to look at where the voice was coming from. At his passenger-side window stood a girl, around his age; she looked familiar, but she’d definitely not been at Hawkins High.

“Sorry,” She chuckled, a slight smirk forming on her lips. “I didn’t mean to spook you. I was just wondering what Steve Harrington was doing in the parking lot of my diner, in the middle of the night, on a Wednesday.”

    -

Steve's late-night drive after his first shift at Scoops Ahoy takes him to a diner on the edge of Hawkins, where he ends up meeting Diana, the waitress, and the same girl he apparently tripped over his own feet when he was trying to flirt with her in his Junior Year at a 'King Steve' house party.

As Steve worries he's stuck in Hawkins forever and battles with his feelings for a girl who can't wait to get out of Indiana quick enough, their lives become entangled during the Hawkins Earthquake and quarantine that follows, with Diana getting sucked into a world Steve swore to himself he'd never let her see.

    Summary

Cordelia Wilde was promised a quiet life in Hawkins all those years ago, and that's what she had received (if you can call being constantly harassed and only having one friend quiet). Unfortunately for her, the disappearance of her best friend's brother and one of her brother's best friends all in one, flipped her life upside down: spending time with the king of Hawkins and his consort, alongside fighting monsters, was not on her 1983 or '84 bingo card, but when life gives you lemons...

    Summary

"I can take care of myself. "
"Alright,” Steve said with a shrug, giving up the fight far earlier than you expected him to. " Well, you don’t need to anymore."
You blinked, confused. " What? "
"You asked me why I was here…I dunno, thought I’d check your locks or whatever."
    Oh.
So this is what it meant to have Steve Harrington as your friend.

In which the quiet warmth of Steve Harrington’s presence in your life was at first surprising, then familiar, and later beloved.
