yuno's blood runs cold, body immediately stiffening with pure shock and dread.
he was absolutely not ready for this. how could he be so stupid? he should've checked to make sure the man's car wasn't in the parking lot. he should've asked around to make sure he wasn't anywhere near the restaurant. he should've, he should've, he should've.
but he hadn't. so, yuno defies the urge to plunge into the surge of emotions that rush through him and slowly forces himself to turn around.
there he was. lang buddha. staring at him with his chin up in the air, brows knit together in condescension. and for a second, just a small, desperate, pathetic second, yuno hopes.
"you're not supposed to be here."
