Summary
He draws in a long breath through his nose and exhales, shoving an apple slice into his mouth unapologetically as he starts to speak. “It… was different.”
She starts to peel an orange for herself. “Oh? Was it a memory?”
It’s a fair question, and she knows he takes no offence. Even all these years later the Shrine’s steep costs have hardly been recouped. His life pre-awakening is still mostly lost to him, though he’s not as sore about it as he probably should be. There are certainly times he finds himself wistful and mournful over what once was that he now hardly knows, but there is also a level of acceptance and peace he holds with the situation.
She thinks she understands. Sometimes, she wishes she could relate.
Alternatively: Wild is the first one to answer the call. A story about what it means to be remembered, appreciating the people we love, and apples.

“Time? I’m sorry, oh Gods, we gotta get you outta the snow. Some uh’ the others are tarpin’ up a little alcove we found. Can you move?”
Time considers it for a moment. He wants to say yes, absolutely, everything is fine. He wants to pretend like the numbness creeping through his extremities isn’t worrying at all. The pain flaring up and down his arm and crossing his rib cage like small little jolts of lightning building up in his bones? Nothing to be concerned about.
It would all be delicious little lies, of course, and as tempting as they would taste, he can’t help but feel they’d turn to ash the moment he tried to prove any of it. And then Twilight would give him that look of his. All wide eyes and fear, laced within an unamused glare.
The chain finds themselves in a new Hyrule, only to be caught off guard when their new Link has a few extra extremities.

Summary
The kid-not a kid, Shouta, not anymore. He’s a fucking colleague now–has been missing for three days. Three days under the influence of a mood altering quirk of unpredictable strength, thanks to the trigger-esque drug flowing through the perpetrator’s system. A mood altering quirk that could spread from person to person with prolonged proximity.
Needless to say, this is a disaster on all fronts.

All in all, she had been miserable.
Which is probably why, thinking back on it, she’d completely missed the fully armored, brightly colored Tiefling woman sitting hunched, cross-legged in the aisle, browsing the lower shelf of historical-fiction books.
She certainly hadn’t stumbled blindly into her because she had her own nose buried in a particularly trashy… er… ‘romance’… novel. Nope. Definitely not.Regardless of how the brand new hole in her thigh—an accidental gift from said Tiefling woman’s nicely polished, extremely pointy horn—suggested otherwise.
Or, Alice keeps writing about her and I's misadventures in our bg3 playthrough from her Tav's perspective. I figure it's my turn to start returning the favor.
How two Tav's meet a bit before the start of the game, up until the first night at camp. They're Besties to be--they just don't know it yet.

His new Drow friend sits alone, shoulders tense and fingers curled gingerly around a bowl of soup in her lap—no doubt long gone cold by now. She stares at the fire as if transfixed by the way it flickers and dances, the look in her eyes as distant as it is contemplative, and he wonders if it’s the good kind of contemplation, or the bad that has her so lost to the world around her.
The curl of her spine and stiffness in her jaw certainly suggests one over the other.
Wyll just wants to get to know his new comrade a little better. Unfortunately, the resident vampire interjects.

Summary
A collection of short, mostly soft fics told from each member of the Chain's POV as they get to know their newest member a bit better throughout their travels.
All leading up to the start of a planned longfic that will not be... as soft, switching gears more toward hurt/comfort, angst, adventure, and found family feels.
(Note: One question I've been asked more than once is if the series/long fic will include TOTK. Having finally finished TOTK, I can confidently say that with a bit of re-working and some small but generous headcanons, I will be including post TOTK content in the MAIN longfic. The short fics have mostly been written pre-release of TOTK, and the plot of TOTK works well enough with the plans I have for the long fic that I can make it work.)

I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.
