Summary
Pickle is tired. It’s nothing new.
He can’t remember the last time he got a good night’s sleep, not between the many hours he’s spent staring up at his ceiling and the semi-permanent fog that’s settled itself in his exhausted brain. No fog, no relaxing, no routines, and no (frankly absurd) amounts of melatonin have helped him. Nothing will. It’s pointless, now, for him to even bother going to bed, even if his body, his mind, his very soul cry out for rest.
So he doesn’t.

Summary
“Guuuuh,” Mic spits dumbly, mind racing. She’s thought a lot about how she’ll tell everyone about the partnership she and Taco had during the season, but that means in no way that she’s actually ready to do it! Her hands grow clammy as she feels more eyes shift towards her the longer she stays quiet.
Everyone is going to be mad at her! And where does she even start? She’s not close with most of the other former contestants like she is with Soap or Knife, no way they’ll be so gentle about all the crap she’d pulled before quitting! Ugh, but the longer she waits to just say something already, the worse it’ll be.
She gulps, opening her dry mouth to try and explain, only for Taco to beat her to it.

Summary
Taco can’t sleep. The day had been exhausting, between sneaking into the hotel, seeing everyone again (or rather, letting them see her), dying and coming back to life for the last time, watching a conceited CEO explode. Losing Mepad. But despite the torpidity that fills her body, her mind won’t let her rest. It scrambles through thought after thought, regret after regret, possibility after possibility. Could she have gotten Pickle’s forgiveness, if only she’d given a better apology? How had she never realized she had no life outside of the game? Was there a way they could have saved everyone? Could Mepad have remained with them? What had Cobs done to him?
She pulls her arms out and stares up at the moon. She needs to get away. She needs to get up and do something that isn’t stewing about the day’s events. There’s no way for her to go back in time to redo her discussion with Pickle, shake herself out of her stupidity, or shoot that conniving corn cob before he has a chance to build that miserable ‘Me’ machine. At the very least, not unless Test Tube were to decide to make yet another time machine. But Taco can at least answer one of her questions.

Summary
Mic wakes to a dull streak of sunlight streaming into her eyes and dimly illuminating her room. She turns over, blinking the sleep out of her eyes, and sees Taco still dead to the world beside her. It was only recently that she began waking up before Taco and what a relief it is. She knows Taco needs the sleep. Mic creeps her way out of bed and heads to the window. Nothing wakes her up better than a breath of crisp technically still-morning air. As she peels back the curtains, though, she’s distracted by the untouched layer of pure white snow gleaming back at her. Even if she can’t actually go out in the snow, being an electronic, she’s always appreciated it for how beautiful it is, especially when it’s fresh.
Speaking of beautiful things, Mic turns back around to Taco, still blissfully unaware in their bed, debating whether or not to wake her up. On one hand, Taco really doesn’t sleep as much as she should, even if she refuses to admit it. On the other hand, they’d never been together while it was snowy before. She’d always been stuck in the hotel until it all melted away, and unable to reach Taco. After everything that had happened, they could finally just enjoy the snow together.
...Or so Mic thought.

Stan had definitely showed up empty-handed, but he somehow ended up leaving with two five year olds in tow.
Eh, he'd been to worse memorial services.
