Summary
Laureate, Righteous One, Champion of the Great Agon, Unwritten One, Astral Modulator, Chief Steward... Arbiter; the list was endless. These names defined the man and his achievements over the countless millennia he had spent in these lands. He had travelled from one end of the planet to the other in search of an answer that nobody seemed to possess.
How to defeat the Lament. How to vanquish the Threnodians.
Day after day, year after year, centuries after centuries... millennia after millennia, he searched for the answer in every possible way, yet every time he returned empty-handed. The weight of failure pressed down upon him until he forgot even what it meant to be human. He kept starting over and over again, hoping things would change this time, until a heartbroken maestro stopped him in his tracks and asked him a question that made him wonder whether all his efforts since the beginning had been worth it.
Now, the threat of the Threnodian looms ever closer as the Dark Tide threatens to engulf everything in despair. However, this time he has decided to act rather than chase empty answers.
