That explained the teary eyed boy on your porch. His long hair was messily thrown over his shoulder in a way that made your heart pound slightly harder. When he pulled down his black hoodie’s sleeves, you caught a glimpse of his black nail polish and silver rings. You didn’t think you’d wanna spend Christmas with people like Murphy’s if you were him, just based on your next-door neighbor view of them.
”It’s fucking freezing out here,” the boy rasped, breaking you out of your awe.
”I’m sorry,” you stuttered softly. “Do you… do you wanna come in, or something?”
”What, do you think I’m out here Christmas caroling?” He attempted to snark, but his overall demeanor that just screamed emotional tiredness didn’t let the sassiness stick.
Or, a Christmas tradition with Connor Murphy that transcends all bounds.
