Mail was accumulating in the bin for him, many, many emails were requiring his response, and there were a few custom orders that he needed to look over before Flug was authorized to work on them. Suffice to say, Flug was getting more and more stressed about it.

Static flooded the screen briefly before stabilizing into grainy footage. Black Hat sat behind a desk unfamiliar to Flug, far plainer than the one he currently used. He looked…younger, in a way. Not physically, obviously, as Black Hat seemed immune to age itself, but still. Somehow, he managed to look younger anyway, less composed.
His expression looked irritated before the recording had even begun. “This recording system is embarrassingly primitive,” he muttered.
Or: the deeply concerning process of how the embodiment of evil accidentally developed an attachment to the strange little scientist digging through his archives.
