Summary
You feel a migraine coming on, but it’s fine.
After all, it’s not like ‘YOU’ feel it. The throbbing behind Kris’s temples and the prisms of dancing color in their vision don’t actually affect their walking speed, or their Dark World stats, or the brilliant white SAVE points scattered around like fallen stars. In terms of status ailments, it’s nothing more than one more line of flavor text in a full chorus of one-liners still echoing from last night’s encounter.
You feel your migraine getting worse, but it’s fine.
You feel your heartbeat pulsing at the edges of your skull with every noise echoing through the Dark Sanctuary, but it’s fine. (It has to be fine.)
You feel a migraine settling in deeper, but it’s fine, it’s fine, IT HAS TO BE FINE.
(Or: fic where Susie, Ralsei, and the SOUL notice Kris is not fine. A bit of early prodding sends the whole plan unraveling early, and Susie, Ralsei, and a disembodied SOUL are forced to improvise.)

Summary
“So! What’s on the guide for today, Krismas? I have so many new ideas to show. I know it’s late, but we can fit in one gameshow episode, surely! Do you remember when you--”
“Shut up.”
Tenna froze.
(Before TV World starts, Kris has to have a talk with a certain TV and set up some ground rules. Tenna is not a fan of dealmakers and scams these days, and refuses. Unfortunately, Kris is prepared to exploit that.)

Summary
It’s a warm summer afternoon, the sky cloudless blue and the grass streaked yellow like drying paint, when you and Susie start walking together towards the edge of the world.
It’s no good to put people on pedestals. Everyone in Hometown says otherwise--that this time they’ll get it right, this time the pedestal will fit, this time the golden child will stay gold--but you’ve seen what it did to Asriel, and you’re a little tired of trophies and placards on the wall. It’d be unfair to Susie, to raise her up higher than anyone can reach when all she wants is to be around everyone.
So it’s no good to say holy things like "you’re the best person I’ve ever met" and "I want to be around you forever" and "I wish I was like you."
But when Susie sighs a breath and mutters, “Man... this town is Goddamn weird, huh?” you can’t help but laugh.
(OR: after the Roaring, the betrayals, and the Angel's ascension to Godhood, Susie sees Kris off on a summer road trip with Dess out of Hometown. Too bad there's nothing past Hometown.)

Summary
It's been four days since Kris Dreemurr went missing.
Four days of sober, grim silence following the chaos of the festival like a corpse after a gunshot.
But Catti won't let her old ritual partner disappear. If it takes every bit of dark magics she can muster, she'll find a way to track them down and pull them out from the darkness. She won't let them end up like Dess. This time, she'll do better. She'll help Noelle smile again.
...Though she wasn't expecting to summon, of all possible demons and familiars, a cartoonish red heart.

Summary
After the events at the church, Kris's compulsions are worse than ever. They can't seem to get the timing right, the motions right... anything right, really. Every thought about Susie refuses to fit in the neat categories they made for themself. If they can't keep even their own thoughts balanced, how are they supposed to handle all their allegiences when it truly matters?
Frustrated and delirious with exhaustion, Kris isn't too surprised when they start to imagine the soul talking to them.
They weren't expecting their own pretend mentor figure to sound like a janitor, though.

Summary
Scattered vignettes and illustrations from a hypothetical future where Kris betrays the Fun Gang, succumbs to darkness, and becomes a drowned Knight. Focuses a lot on Kris and Dess's dynamic-- from before corruption, during Knighthood, and after a pacifist ending.
TWs for some pretty heavy themes of self-destructive behavior, religious trauma, suicide attempts, and unreality.

Summary
On the day of the festival, Berdly is precisely where Berdly is supposed to be. A few days ago, he had a dream about a beautiful city, that had become strangely quiet, and cold. Not a nightmare, no. Nothing bad happened. Just.
Maybe, having it on his mind still is why he happened to be paying attention to Kris to notice they don’t. Look so hot. Maybe look positively miserable, even. So.
Berdly does what a Berdly usually… doesn’t. He might not be who Kris wanted to spend the day with. He definitely isn’t supposed to be where they’re going. But if he can be by Kris’ side. If Kris can choose him, even just to be who he cries to about… whatever is going on with their poor, injured heart, this festival.
Berdly could do anything. Because even if he didn’t make a good one. Berdly never really, ever once, stopped dreaming of being a knight.
(Not. The Knight. Just A Knight.)
An alternate version of events in chapter 5, in a world only just slightly touched by frost… or. Possibly. A world that was carefully de thawed, at some point. Hard to say how you’d really tell the difference, from the outside.
Might take Berdly to some unexplained locations.

Summary
They had a system.
The lights stayed off. They were there, in case of emergencies or guests, but outside of those extenuating circumstances, they never turned on. On especially dark or cloudy nights, Kris cracked a glowstick and circled it around their wrist when they walked into the kitchen around 4:00 AM to make coffee after giving up on sleep for the night. Sometimes, the smell drew it out of its room; she'd come grab a cup, and they'd sip the hot, bitter liquid together in silent camaraderie. Usually, Kris drank the small pot alone.
...
It feels selfish, like some violation of the silent pact they’ve made with themself, with Dess. An unspoken agreement to fade quietly from this world, to break away in little pieces over time, make their peace and let the others make theirs.
...
They are warm. A hand on their wrist. Breath on their shoulder. Snores shaking the floor. They are comfortable, and safe, and loved, and somehow this is worse. Because the warmth isn't theirs in the same way the screams weren't theirs; because Kris is a quiet thing, a cold thing, and the pain belongs to them but the fire does not.(i.e. Kris and Dess are forced out of their downward spirals and learn to be loved.)

Summary
A normal route Soul does something in chapter 2 that gets Kris curious. What if they entertained the soul, for just a moment? With their willpower and the amount of control they have so far, Kris is certain they can keep this from getting out of hand.
The overconfidence effect is a cognitive bias in which a person's confidence in their judgements is greater than the accuracy of their judgements. In this work I attempt to:
