Summary
Wu'Kong hasn't been king long, but his people loved him regardless. Having saved them once more from poachers, they find a starving monkey child in the poachers' cages in desperate need of love and care. Wu'Kong takes on the burden of caring for the small child, unable to find a more suitable caretaker. As time moves on, Wu'Kong starts to wonder if he is the best choice to care for the child, especially as his love grows more intense. Not that it mattered now; the child was his and his alone.

As Queen of Flower Fruit Mountain, Macaque is left with the responsibility of keeping his subjects, his family, safe. At the same time, he refuses to believe that his King is gone, dead, or truly defeated. Juggling his responsibilities and his dedication to his Sun can be overwhelming at times. Especially when a heavenly god decides he will obliterate the monkey island and Macaque's powers seem to wane.

“Mm.” Wukong places a hand on the human’s back, rubbing gently. “You're gettin’ pretty good at lying, bud.”
MK tenses a bit, then immediately relaxes; only someone who was looking for it would be able to tell that he gave any indication of hearing Wukong.
