Summary
Bethany doesn't know for sure but she suspects she is cursed with luck, both good and bad.
Abandoned at 4 in the morning in the rain at a fire station is without a doubt some seriously bad luck. But getting fostered by a truly wonderful family is just about the best luck a kid like her could have.
Luck wreaks havoc on her life and after a string of really, truly bad luck things start to turn around when the family lawyer hands her the deed to her adopted family's farm.
Then she meets Shane... is he going to be good luck or bad luck?
Author note: I'm switching from third person to first person and re-writing the posted chapters before moving the story forward. Currently 4/6 for the switch

The world turns upside down as he begins to stumble. Only a strong hand around his elbow keeps him from tumbling right into the water. She somehow stands while keeping hold of him and sighs, her cigarette still hanging from her lips. “I’m going to take you home. Not because I’m helping you. But because I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I just left you here.” She pulls him next to her, draping his arm over her shoulder. “This is a completely selfish action, so be a good boy and don’t bitch about it the whole walk back to the ranch.”
