Summary
They never got to spend much time together, and when they did, Leon struggled to figure out where he stood. After decades of friendship—or something Leon considers friendship, at least—he’s still not entirely sure whether Chris likes him at all. He’s always had his back though, and that’s the important thing.
Leon is, unfortunately, easy like that. But, he also isn’t in the mood for Chris’s particular brand of Redfield judgement and tendency to open old wounds, especially not after the day he’s had.

Summary
It’s different now, though—Gale doesn’t have to stay quiet, isn’t really hiding anything anymore, but John? John has to stay still, can’t move or react or let on he’s awake, no matter how much sound Gale makes. And if he fails, Gale stops.
Or, Gale has ideas, and John is always ready to give Gale what he wants.

Summary
The syrupy flow of time is hard for John to parse, Gale not moving aside from the light touch to his curls, nothing to delineate one breathless moment from the next. An hour could have passed, or maybe only minutes, when, slowly, so incredibly slowly, John can feel Gale’s hands start to shift, inching forward. Testing, maybe, to see how far he can go without waking John.
Or, Gale is only able to take comfort when he isn't being perceived. John is a much lighter sleeper than Gale's been led to believe.

Summary
Gale registers the sound of retching but he’s numb, kneeling in a pool of blood in front of an unresponsive body wondering what the hell to do now. It’s just his luck. All he can think is fuck.
Or, in trying to smooth things over with his father’s bookie, Gale ends up the prime suspect in a murder he didn’t commit.
