Summary
“I don’t believe you for a second,” the villager said with a scoff. “Reviving the dead? You, a god? That’s the most preposterous thing I’ve heard in all my years.”
“Oh? You don’t believe me?” Dream smiled. “That’s okay, I’m more than willing to give you all a demonstration. Tommy,” he called, gesturing to the blond.
Tommy knew exactly what was going to happen, and he knew that there was no point in resisting, for it’d be over quicker if he gave up and went along with it (and if he struggled he’d really just be making a fool of himself). So he walked over to Dream, quietly, obediently, and stood facing the crowd. At least his death would be quick this time, he thought, as he shut his eyes and felt the cool of metal against his neck. One slash, and the world went dark.
Or: Tommy didn’t originally plan to hit the water when he jumped off the tower in Logsted, so he hit the ground instead. Dream decides that’s as good a time as any to test out the revival book, and upon succeeding, decides he’s a god and it’s high time he gained some followers.

Summary
Do you see with that yellowed eye, the green ones staring back at you? Do you see the dark sky, the purple light of the sun that is wrong? Do you hear the laughter of a madman and the cries of the insane? Do you wish time to turn back all the way before you knew love? Do you wish the day that you bring would never come, the day of wrath forever gone? Do you wish the eye would not see you and the yellow gaze turned away? Tell me your wish, give me your fear.

Summary
Kayne’s own breathing slowed, the millions of cacophonous voices quieting to a lower din, and he found himself falling carefully into Arthur, body going near slack as he huddled against him on the bench.
Why did he feel so calm around him right now? That wasn’t right. If anything, he usually felt less calm around Arthur. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around him, pressing Arthur’s chest closer against his.

Or, Kayne feels awfully homesick.

Summary
After the end, The Archivist and Martin Blackwood do end up somewhere else. That somewhere else turns out to be a mirror of their own universe, except early enough to save everyone, barely. They arrive right when Jane Prentiss is laying waste to the Archives.
So, this isn't finished, but I don't know when I'll have time to continue it, if ever, but I still like what I did finish enough to not leave it languishing unseen. The six chapters I did get done will be posted one per day. For what it's worth, I hope you enjoy what's here.
