Minho pushed open the creaking wooden door of what was supposed to be a therapist's office, expecting a sterile clinic. He did not expect a magical plant shop, a screeching bat named Barry, or the most beautiful man he'd ever seen.
"Sorry about that," the man said, pushing up his glasses. "She’s a Nibbler Bat. Thinks she’s a guard dog. And you must be Minho."
"Yeah," Minho replied, his cynical facade already cracking. "And you must be... the therapist?"
The man, Jisung, grinned. "Yep. But I'm more of a healer."
(Or) All lone alpha wolf Minho wanted was to teach pups. The council's solution? Get a "I'm Not Feral" certificate from a therapist.
Enter Han Jisung, a healer who is less "licensed therapist" and more "chaotic plant engineer." His methods involve sentient vines and judgmental carnivorous plants. His qualifications are questionable. But as their sessions descend into delightful chaos, Minho realizes the paperwork is the last thing on his mind. He's too busy wondering if this whimsical, lonely healer might need saving just as much as he does.

The sound rips itself from his chest, raw and sharp, edged with hysteria. It echoes off the cliffs, carrying unnaturally far. Several cultivators falter, their advance stuttering as they look up at him in alarm.
“Escape?” he repeats, voice carrying easily over the chaos, “Oh, you little fools, I’m not going anywhere.”

It is the Siege of The Burial Mounds. Wei Wuxian is the only one left alive. Instead of sacrificing himself to destroy the Stygian Tiger Amulet, Wei Wuxian finds him absorbing all of the energy in the Burial Mounds in his grief, in his anger, in his rage.
Once he returns to reality, he finds all of the cultivators who had participated in the siege kowtowing before him.
Wei Wuxian is about to have a lot of fun.

He thinks Minho could be the hobby that sticks. The thing that will finally stop the clock on his humiliating, slow demise— his deterioration into nothing but soil, and dirt, and the dust of flower petals that never grow correctly.
He’ll have to see.

Isn’t that why things have always been this way between them? Isn’t everything they have and haven’t done been out of love? Out of Guilt?
Jisung doesn’t seem to agree.
“Are they?” He challenges. “Because mine’s right here.” Jisung lays his hand across his heart. Then, with the slightest twitch of hesitation, places the same hand across Minho’s chest— Minho’s heart. “And here.”
Minho and Jisung have been in love with each other for as long as they can remember. The strained relationship between their families complicates things.
