Summary
Maggie Silber-Lin knows that eating is a normal part of human life. There's nothing inherently shameful about it. It's just hard, sometimes, to make a living writing about food, when it's such a sensitive topic, even inside her own head. But everyone has to - well. Survive.
(A series of vignettes in a world that looks more different from our own than it is.)

Summary
Society as a whole has been dead for over three years now, and zombies and survivors alike trample over its corpse in an effort to keep moving through the world.
Wilbur still thinks of his brother sometimes, and hopes that he’s still alive, somewhere out there. Hopes that they’ll be able to meet again, some distant day.
The day is today, and it's not like how Wilbur hoped for.
(Zombie apocalypse au + some twinsduo angst)

Summary
There’s the voice, Phil thinks faintly. So that’s the cause of the screaming, although he already had a hunch this is what was happening. Some unlucky bastard held down to be used as an unwilling offering, a dagger dug straight into the heart. Or- near the heart. He’s dying too slowly for it to be a good stabbing placement.
(Or, Phil is investigating a cult in the name of his lovely wife. Wilbur is the unlucky lamb at the altar.)

Summary
“Oh, I’m sorry, sorry, mate-” Phil reaches his hands out, Techno kicking his legs out, trying to scoot away.
“No, no-” Techno chokes out, heart slamming into his ribs. He’s going to die, he’s going to die here, he should’ve known, Phil was never human, he was never human at all-
“I should’ve told you earlier.” Phil smiles, kneeling down to Techno’s level. He’s not reaching out anymore, but he’s not leaving either. “Sorry again for the scare. That was a bit much, huh?”
Techno blinks. “What?”
Or
Phil is not quite human, but he’s still very much a dad, with two children he loves very much.
Techno gets adopted into the family.
He was not informed of this.

Summary
Religion! Horror! Exorcisms! Piercings! And Gerard is a priest.
Disclaimer: I stole frequently and unrepentantly from Joss Whedon and the makers of various horror movies throughout this whole series. Also I am not an expert on the Vatican or medical-type things, so please accept my apologies in advance for all the wild inaccuracies I am sure you are about to encounter. If everyone could just assume this is the Magical Made-Up Vatican, you know, like the religious institution version of those tour buses that drive themselves and don't carry anyone but the band, that would be awesome.
