Summary
So here he is: a monster in the wilderness, a shadow crawling in the sun, trying desperately to be more than his nature. Than the terrified creature two centuries of torment shaped him into.
(Or Astarion reclaims his personhood, one fraught, determined step at a time. And with a little help along the way.)

Summary
There was a problem with Astarion.
Well, in all likelihood, there were quite a few problems with Astarion.
He was abrasive and flippant and self-serving, and Gale was in no doubt that his quick fingers were skimming at least a little out of whatever chests Tav had him picking.
Oh, and there was the fact that he was a vampire. Yes, there was that little detail.
Or, Astarion getting outed by the shadow-cursed lands.

Summary
They moved like a predator ready to spring. Their muscles always tense, their eyes always searching. Even when they were seated amongst their companions and lover they were on edge. Not all this was obvious at first glance. Dusk hid it well, but once Jaheira saw it, it was all she could see.
Her gut reaction told her the worst. And if that was the case, well, there might be some difficult decisions to be made. Her favorite.
(Or; Jaheira discovers a wolf in sheep’s clothing.)

Summary
“Darling,” Karlach spoke softly as she sat up and swung her legs over the side of the mattress. “What is it?”
She already knew the answer, broadly speaking.
Her partner took in deep shuddering breaths as they tried to find the words, their tail moving anxiously from side to side in snappy s-curves. Karlach looked up from lacing her boots when they finally ground out their reply, “I need to– I have to go for a walk.”

Summary
Despite his best efforts, he wants the SecUnit to be one of them. He will never voice it. He will never ask it. It would be pointless. Where the SecUnit is concerned, his feet bleed as he walks the cutting edge between suspicion and hope.
