Standing there in a lab coat and another ugly T-shirt, he was in a similar state to her, apparently—shifting from foot to foot, unable to keep still; his hair stuck up in all directions, as if he'd been running his hands through it (and she stubbornly ignored the awful urge in her to reach out and fix it—it was a symptom of the last few days, nothing more); he wrung his hands together and avoided meeting her eye. God, what was up with him?
Grace has some bad news for Stratt. It doesn't go down well.

“You haven’t had a heat for years. Induced by stress and overuse of suppressants,” she states, again, a factual statement rather than a question. Of course she knows his file from memory.
His head falls back, and he struggles to comprehend the words for a second, a half-hearted whine making its way out his throat. A daze settles over him, and he ruts against nothing again, unable to hold back the full effects of his heat anymore. He needs something to touch his dick or else he might cry.
When he looks back up, Stratt’s eyes are dilated, and he smells the pheromones she’s releasing…it smells like arousal.
“Dr. Grace…do you…would you like assistance with your heat?” She finally says.

Ryland Grace hasn't had a heat in years. When he does, it's obviously right in the middle of a meeting. Understandably, he runs away.

Then I went back towards my xenonite. Nah, full grown adult over there— despite being around 30 Earth years old, and if that were converted to Eridian math— that was very young. Pebbles could barely speak yet at that age. But this was an alien— a human we're talking about. Grown ass man.
Or so Rocky thought.
(5 times Rocky witnesses Grace acting like a pebble, and the 1 time Rocky acts like one himself. Featuring, a reunion between Rocky and Adrien!
