The summer after Will Graham is imprisoned, Jack Crawford gets called onto a possible serial killer case in Michigan and takes Brian and Jimmy along. The case is gruelling. The associations are worse. And to top off an already wonderfully complicated situation, the local Cherry Festival has ensured all hotels are fully booked, which means Brian and Jimmy have no choice but to share a room. Shenanigans, with a healthy dose of dead homeless people.

Adam is resting on a star-print blanket beside a lake in central park. The sun reflects off the shifting surface and he turns away from it with a sandwich in hand and a book laid open on his knee.
Hannibal made this sandwich. That’s how it goes every morning, Hannibal putting Adam’s lunch together in the morning before heading off to start his day. Adam feels bad about it sometimes, like it’s evidence he should be doing more. He’s the older brother, after all.
