He can’t do it. He can’t look at him and pretend everything’s fine, everything’s normal, that they’re just friends. It’s too difficult, when his thoughts are so often about him. He has to admit his feelings - but what if everything gets worse? What if he doesn't like me back? He has to tell him, Coy thinks, but will not, can not, for fear of making everything worse.
