Summary
Once every month, at the behest of the universe, soulmates swap bodies with the closest friend of their other half. Not everyone has a soulmate, though, and Logan counted himself amongst those unlucky saps. Until one day, he jumps into the body of Vanessa Carlysle to find that his soulmate is Wade Wilson, a skilled mercenary from the streets of New York. But, as an immortal mutant with a history of harming those he loves, Logan knows better than to answer the call.
After one particular jump, however, Vanessa reaches out to Logan to tell him that Wade is missing, and that she needs his help to find the merc and bring him home. Logan’s life is all of a sudden turned upside down as he and Vanessa race against the clock to bring Wade home, thrown on a collision course to an end that just might designate him the Worst Wolverine in the multiverse.

They’re both so incredibly alone, but they don’t have to be. They can have one another, if they’re willing to work for it. They’ll have to deal with more than just their inner demons to get there, though.

Wade offers him a weak smile, which should be eerie or off-putting at the very least, but somehow Logan doesn't find those bloody fangs gruesome. The way his smile reaches his half-lidded eyes is gentle, sweet.“Yer not tryna hurt anybody, are ya?” Logan slurs slightly. “Can’t help that yer scary. S’okay. I know the feeling, bubba.”
