Summary
University life wasn't anything like you'd been led to believe. Well, actually, there were a lot of similarities to the stories others told or what you saw in those movies you loved so much: parties, alcohol, unbearable classmates, and cute guys you'd see in the library while studying and then never see again.
Just a small problem: by this point in your carrete, you'd experienced little to none of that. Your sister always told you the same thing: "It's not your fault. Friends come along eventually. Don't worry, you'll have all these experiences someday." But at this stage of your life, it was a thousand times easier to get a teaching job in your field without specialization or a master's degree—with a decent salary— than to find friends or a boyfriend.
Who would have thought that the day your sister moved out of the small apartment you rented near the university would result in the search for a roommate so extroverted that it would finally lead you to stop repeating in your head that one day you would live a better university life to start living it.
