It started with a decision Denki made.
After the war, where he had been in the bowels of the floating fortress in the sky, part of the team tasked with keeping it afloat and supplying it with power, he had a realisation… a revelation if you will. He realised, after years of wanting to be a spotlight hero and rank in the top ten of the Hero Billboard Awards, that maybe he was better suited to working in the background. To saving people without them even noticing something was amiss.

There were three words that caused Denki's heart to race. And he's confident his fiance, Hitoshi, felt the same way.
The three words weren't, I love you.
The three words were, I need you.
It didn't make his heart race in an exciting and anticipatory way. No, it was a dreadful one.
It made him feel like he was drenched in a bucket of cold water that made him freeze up and stall. He'd stall with his heart pounding so loud that he could hear the vital organ in his ears.
Denki knows the three words are only sent when his partner really needed him. And he always made sure to drop everything and go to him.

Memories flash in his mind. It's Shinsou's turn to do a double take. "That's why. It's your quirk."
Kaminari nods, sheepish under Shinsou's intense gaze.
"Does it hurt?"

The Context: Aizawa fosters Shinsou. Midnight knows what is and isn't appropriate in a school setting.
The Conflict: Kaminari's infatuated. Shinsou finds it harder to say no. Everyone's trying to survive to see the next day.
