Tokoyami frowns, watching the gambling table from afar. “Who’s dealing in?”
Mr. Compress stands with a bow and leaves the table, allowing a young blond man to step in. He takes a seat, entertaining the guests with a couple of practiced lines and an easy smile, shuffling the cards. His hands alone are mesmerizing to watch, commanding the cards with barely a touch as they slip in the air like a blur between his fingers, smooth and effortless shades of red fluttering over white.
“Oho. That’s Keigo Takami." Fat Gum says quietly. "Fastest hands and sharpest eyes in a game. He can deal like no other. Act casual and know you have no chance at controlling the game with him at the table.”
“The dark brooding guy behind him?”
“Careful with that one." Fat Gum warns. "Best avoid eye contact. Not much is known about him except that he goes by Dabi. Intel says he’s a bodyguard of some kind, but he’s not registered with any security contractors we know of—public or private. He lingers around the card tables. Mostly around Takami.”

Hawks has a mission, but Dabi changes the rules of the game when he reveals the true nature of the mission.
Alternatively, take Mission Impossible, the Bond films, the Man from U.N.C.L.E. with a side of Spies are Forever and throw them all in a blender called dabihawks, et voila, you have the cocktail fic before you.

The doors open with a heaving groan, and Touya leans forward in open interest. He was expecting a large cage to be wheeled in, containing some fantastical creature like a small wyvern or a kirin. Instead the servants yank on heavy chains, pulling in a young man with massive crimson wings.
“A harpy, your majesty, tamed and trained for battle by the enemy. He was captured in combat, and has spent the last six months undergoing training to become a suitable pet for the royal household. I give him to you, your majesty, to serve whichever role his highness pleases.”
