Finn find himself stranded in an unfamiliar world without Poe.
Steven gets mistaken for a strangers boyfriend and through his kindness gets involved in helping this stranger out.

“Please Marc, please,” Steven moans, grinding his whole body into the man above him. Marc can’t hold back his own moan at the sudden friction, biting down on Steven’s clavicle only to smooth over the mark with his lips seconds later---
Marc would have been fine had it not been for that dream. But Jake had been there when he’d woken up, calling him a dirty boy and smirking at him from his reflection in a glass of water on their nightstand. “What if I told you,” he’d said, raising his eyebrows suggestively, “That that wasn’t a dream?”
Marc travels to New York to ask a certain Master of the Mystic Arts for help in making Steven his own person. The Multiverse has different plans for them.

Summary
“Marc? Marc! What did— what the hell did you do? What happened?” Steven demanded, his breath hitching.
His hands desperately grasped at the shards, not caring if they cut into his palms. Everything hurt, and his tears blurred his vision. Through it, however, he was able to see the look of his reflection shift into something that wasn’t his own.
“Steven?” Marc’s eyes widened. “Why’re you— You’re not supposed to be—”
Steven sobbed, pressing his hand back against the knife in his stomach. “Did you get stabbed?"
Or: Marc becomes a little incautious when he gets to Cairo, Khonshu reprimands this, and Steven is left to deal with the consequences.
