And Miquella himself seems to have abandoned the Capital in pursuit of his own ambitions. Morgott sees the coming war, and he is determined not to leave the Erdtree and Leyndell defenseless. But to do so, he will have to become King. And to become King, he will enlist a Banished Knight to bear a Lord's sins.

Summary
Mohg infiltrated Aurora's mind with rumours of another Shardbearer being present at the top of the volcano in Gelmir: Praetor Rykard. The group heads west, needing to find a way to climb the mountain and to gain the trust of the head of Volcano Manor; Lady Tanith. Because upon arrival, Aurora and her friends quickly realize that not everything is exactly as it seems in this ominous manor and their presence might not be continuously handled with the warm welcome, they were greeted with. On top of that, Aurora's Misbegotten attributes and linked instincts seem to get the best of her and soon she is faced with the uncomfortable task to take care of her mating instincts, before they threaten to negatively influence her fighting skills.
