Summary
"I think it would be nice if we could become those stars one day. Twinkling side by side." Louis turned his head, meeting his older brother's affectionate gaze. "As long as I'm with you brother, anywhere would be perfect, but I think we'd make terrific stars, wouldn't you agree?"
The elder boy's smile faltered a fraction and he turned his head away, trying to hide his momentary slip of control, before turning back to the magnificent stars. His brows furrowed and his eyes narrowed.
I'll change this world for you, Louis. We don't need to be stars to be seen, to be loved—is what he wanted to say but instead he opted for a safer reply.
"Mhm. I think so too, Louis."
Untouched by the horrors of the world, shining brightly and freely in the night's embrace, but how lonely and cold must they be?
He who has shed his past to be born anew, meets he who longs to dredge up long forgotten dreams.
