Bass and Miles own a bar. Bass used to be a singer but the loss of his family made him quit until a certain blonde came along.
The Matheson family is in politics. Rachel is involved in a political campaign. Both Ben and Danny are dead. And Charlie can't stand what her mother is doing with their memory.

Summary
This is AU OS is also set in my M&M Militia bar universe. It loosely follow the first part but you can read this without having read that first part. Bass is a former rockstar (well sort of, more into acoustic sound than anything else) who runs the bar with his BFF Miles.
Charlie is back from Europe where she had been staying with Aaron and working in Communications.
Charlie and Bass run into each other at Miles' birthday. She is going through a rough patch and they clearly have history. Maybe Bass is the only one who can understand what she's going through.

Summary
When Connor returns with all of them to Willoughby after the war, things between him and Bass are worse than ever. Connor starts drinking more. He becomes more aggressive towards him and Miles. Bass doesn’t know what to do, now he is slowly losing his kid. When what is left of his life is going to hell, it's Charlie who is there for him.
'His kid is slipping away. He is losing him to whiskey and rage. It’s reminding him so much of himself, that it fucking hurts. He needs answers. He needs to pull Connor back to a place where it is not too late for them.'
