A question asked by no one, of everyone. A question only ever asked in the depths of a forest, when light runs low and the barrier between worlds is thin. The single most terrifying question of all - once it is asked, it is already too late.
Select few carry enough nerve to stay their tongue. Fewer yet would dare make a request of the nothingness that demands. Those scarce individuals are often arrogant, deluded, or mad.
...Or, once in a blue moon, they are desperate. Desperate to make a deal, damned be the consequences.
One can only hope the promise of reward is worth the greatest loss they will ever know.

Summary

Maybe it would've ended there, but a chance occurrence kept him thinking for some time. And he just couldn't forget the experience of that night. So, he eventually came back for more...

They'll be forced to withstand loss, betrayal, grief, and tragedy, with only faint glimmers of hope to hold onto and a family they'll build brick by brick to keep them going.
Be it Ares, Kronos, or any other number of opponents, they won't allow anyone to get in the way of their happy ending.
