Summary
An alternative version of Part 1 in this series. On Kadavo, Obi-Wan Kenobi is sold into sexual slavery where he is raped, tortured, and starved until Anakin comes to rescue him. Integrating back into his old life as a Jedi is not easy, as Obi-Wan does his best to hide his secrets and pretend that everything is fine.

Jason Todd goes to Titan's Tower to send a message. He won’t kill Robin there, no—that wouldn’t be poetic enough. Instead, he’ll torture the cuckoo to death and dump his body in the Nevada desert, never to be found—ensuring he has enough fingers and toes to mail Bruce for the next twenty years.
Only when the time comes, Jason…can’t do it.
Now he’s stranded 3,000 miles from Gotham with nothing but a smart-mouthed Robin, a beat-up pickup truck, and a dream.

Jason goes to Titans Tower to attack Tim. Instead, the two road-trip across the country from San Francisco back to Gotham. Featuring greasy diner food, shitty motels, talks about trauma in the bed of a pickup truck, and as many metaphors about roads as I can possibly cram in here. And stars, for some reason.

Jason drives forever and ends up exactly where he started.

Tunnel vision was needed on this one, no time to moarn the dead, not anymore than he already had at least. Chris had to get to the one that was living first, Claire was the priority here... her and any other survivors he might come across, he refused to knowledge the possibility of her not surviving this.

Not true. Tim trusts Jason Todd and Dick Grayson with his life. Just not with, the other stuff.
"But," Jason continues, "if you want to tell me what got you here, or you just want to talk about anything, you can, with me. Dick too. He's an annoying ray of sunshine that won't ever shut up most of the time, but he is actually a good listener. I'd know."

When Tim's parents find out Tim's secret, they kick him out. Now, on Thanksgiving, Tim is living on the streets and is thankful for the two strangers currently saving him from getting his face pounded into the pavement. Wait...those aren't strangers...
