“i’m sure that well practiced depressing spiel makes a lot of sense in your emotionally constipated nonsense world, but i’ve had my anti-psychotics dosage upped and i’ve been doing two therapy sessions a week, and i have a boyfriend, and i’m here to tell you that doesn’t track. it sounds more like you’re—” jisung blinks at him, eyes going wide and concerned before he smiles, weirdly stiff.
“it doesn’t matter. since he’s straight, and you think he’s cool, and you’re just being friendly, then i’m not saying anything else. just be careful.” he says it the way he always says it, like he already knows it’s a safe bet to assume felix isn’t going to listen to him.
“i’ll be careful.”
he doesn’t know why he bothers with the lie.

it makes his mouth water every time felix leans into it; he shouldn't like it as much as he does, but he likes it, and he likes it too much; the people who watch their videos question it all the time, if it's real, or if it's just something they play up for show; part of him wants to stake his claim and prove it, show off their matching freckles and identical smiles, the rest of him knows better, knows that it would ruin both of them, knows that this little bubble they have where nobody knows or bats an eye at them holding hands isn't something he wants to lose.

felix looks up at him, with a soft smile.
it's weird, how natural it would feel to lean down and give him a kiss; chris shakes the thought away, shoving it into a box. he can't think that way, it's not right. but it always creeps back up, when felix is like this, sleepy and wrapped up in a blanket, and curled close to him, more to steal body heat than to actually be sweet or affectionate, but he takes his wins where he can get them.
"i need to shower," he says, mindlessly, just to fill the silence, "but after, we can watch something, and hang out for a bit before i crash."
felix nods, and offers himself up for an actual hug; the warmth and the weight of him is comforting, and it always has been.
