Summary
As soon as Steve stepped inside his apartment, he knew something was wrong. Someone had been there. Perhaps he should've cut and run right there - he knew the dangers of his profession. He knew that journalists didn't enjoy the same protection as cops did, and Steve had been reporting on the same serial killer for months now, most likely getting on his radar. But he couldn't stop. The Winter Soldier didn't just kill his victims...Steve had seen the crime scene photos. The beautiful carvings. It was art work. Gruesome, terrifying, diabolic art work.
And now, the same man he'd spent months researching had come to find him. Steve was scared, but more than that he was...excited.
Or; Steve is a journalist reporting on a serial killer with a special relationship to his knife, and that serial killer comes asking questions about Steve's particular obsession.

Bucky’s pretty sure he’s had any and all coherency fucked right out of him. He wants to return the compliments – wants to tell Steve how dizzyingly high he makes him feel, how prefect it feels to be so full of him, how he feels so vulnerable and laid bare beneath him and yet so very, very safe and loved… But all that ends up coming out of his mouth is a breathy, disjointed “S-Ste-eve…”

Summary
Steve didn't understand the need to get to know his co-workers. It wasn't like he saw them often - they each have their own office, and group projects are so rare at SHIELD that they'd almost unheard of. So this mandatory "Cooperation And Coordination" workshop seemed like a complete waste of time. But Coulson had insisted, so here Steve was, on his day off, waiting to be paired up with someone he'll probably never speak to again.

Summary
It's rare that Bucky manages to sleep through the night.
Steve can hear him, every night in the room across the hall, screaming and begging in his sleep for the pain to stop. Every night, without fail, Steve runs in to gather Bucky in his arms, to try and comfort him as Bucky shakes in his embrace. Sometimes Bucky pulls Steve into bed with him, making himself as small as possible as he burrows into Steve's side. Sometimes he follows Steve back to his room and holds his hand so tightly that Steve wonders if it's the only thing tying him to the world.
