“I’m a kid. You can’t leave me alone. That’s unsafe.” Megumi counters, pulling the phone away from his ear. His argument might have done more to sway Suguru if his voice wasn’t so deadpan.
“I’ll leave you with the guards. They’ll look after you until your dad gets there.”
“I can’t talk to strangers.”
“What am I, then?”
“That was an emergency. Also, you’re not a stranger anymore.” Megumi blinks. “You’re Suguru.”
Suguru fights the urge to slam his head against the pole in the middle of the train carriage. Instead, he says: “Can I talk to your dad?”
Megumi loses his dad on the train, and finds a certain tall, raven-haired man instead.

“I’m home,” Satoru hums contentedly, batting his eyelashes at him and then nuzzling into Suguru’s neck. “You’re early, Suguru. You have a good day?”
“Slow. They won’t miss me,” he shrugs, and he can feel Satoru’s smile against his shoulder. Suguru is in casual clothes now, not his cult leader regalia, as Satoru usually calls it. Inefficiently, they hobble together around the kitchen as Suguru gathers the toppings for the matcha crepes he decided to make earlier. “Hungry, Toru?”
“I love you,” Satoru perks up as they double back to grab powdered sugar and milk chocolates, and Suguru only laughs. “Oh, yeah! I brought home a guest.”
