Liu Qingge was unsure whether the fan, that looked so carefully placed on his table, was a mockery to his loneliness or a promise to salvation. It wasn't there when he left his peak a few days ago.
It was well past dinner time, he wasn’t even sure if Shen Qingqiu was still awake and willing to receive visitors.
He should return the fan tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow he will get a grip on his feelings. Maybe tomorrow the void in his chest will be gone and the coldness in his bones would ebb down and he could find a beast to slay that would make him feel alive even just for a fraction of a moment.

Summary
“Please, Sir Edmond, help yourself,” Yakumo says, and he steps alarmingly close to the precipice.
He watches, as time seems to slow to a delicious, delirious, excruciating crawl, as Edmond’s fingers descend on one of the shortcakes. He holds the little cake in his hand and regards it.
Is he anticipating the first bite he is going to take as much as Yakumo is? He licks his lips once before parting them. Yakumo doesn’t even realise he’s holding his breath.
Then Edmond bites into the cake; he lets the flavours melt and mix on his tongue, and then his eyelids flutter and close, and from deep inside his chest rises a contented hum.
And Yakumo loses his footing and falls.Seeing how much Edmond enjoys eating the cakes he baked pleases Yakumo in unexpected ways.
