When a chance conversation leads Jimmy Neutron to rediscover a forgotten cache of memories. All evidence points towards two important things:

His name is Timmy Turner.
Well, Timothy Tiberius Turner (big tongue twister, he knows), but Timothy is too formal and Tiberius is too ridiculous, so he’s just Timmy and on some truly unfortunate occasions, Tim. (Yeah, he really doesn’t like Tim because like what is he, fifty?)
So really, Timmy is the only really good option for a name because he isn’t a Timothy or a Tim or a Tiberius and he guesses there’s Turner too but-
But…
Hm.
What was he going on about again? Earlier, he means. Right.
Somehow, someway, Timmy's ended up as a ghost in the Ghost-Zone. He'd tell you how it happened, but he doesn't know either.

Summary
Jimmy Neutron has done his best to move on with his life after losing the love of his life to magic-induced amnesia ten years ago. So what if he hasn't had a real date with anyone in the past ten years? He didn't have time for romance anyway, between whipping up new inventions and raising his and Timmy's daughter. She is all that keeps him going, especially on the days when the void in his heart threatens to swallow him whole. If it hurts sometimes to look at her, he's only human. It doesn't mean he loves her any less.
So, of course, when he comes home one day to find out she's run away to another dimension, he proceeds to lose his shit.

Timmy Turner is an average man, however much he might have wished otherwise. His parents noped out of his life the minute he turned eighteen, leaving him alone in a house haunted by loneliness. Sure, it would have been nice to have a family of his own, but he was fine with focusing on his career and the occasional one-night stand.
All that changes when a young girl appears at his door, claiming to be his long-lost daughter.
