Summary
Luke and Bobby had fake dating down to an art, but when Reggie struggled to get a date to homecoming, Luke was glad to volunteer the services of his boyfriend just to make the bassist happy. After all, Bobby should have a shot at an actual relationship instead of a pretend one. It was a good plan, a solid one.
Too bad Bobby disagreed.
What started as a good idea ended with Luke dumped and Bobby refusing to date anyone, but that was okay. Or, it would be okay, Luke was sure of it. He had faith in Reggie and Bobby.
Also known was: that time Luke managed to miscommunicate his way in and out of several relationships, and also Alex is acting weird, and Bobby’s acting weirder, but it all works out in the end. Somehow.

Summary
Charles was always sure he’d made the right choice to stay. There was no one else he’d rather be dead with, no other Afterlife that could top this.
He always assumed Edwin felt the same. Through the running from Death, the promises to never split up, he always assumed Edwin would never want anything else either.
But Edwin never had a choice in the matter, did he? Not a real one anyway. For Edwin, it was either Earth or Hell. That’s not much of a choice. Charles had always known this, obviously. Edwin getting dragged back down to Hell was one of his worst fears- worst fears turned reality too. But Charles never considered what Edwin would do if he was actually given a choice.

When Edwin’s asylum request is approved, Charles realizes Edwin actually has the choice to move on to his Afterlife now. He worries he might not be enough to get Edwin to stay, and the perfect Afterlife he’s built might not actually last forever.
