Dick comes around to stand fully in front of him, keeping a steadying hand on Tim’s arm. “Just because you know you’re safe intellectually doesn’t mean you always feel safe,” he says softly. “It’s okay if you don’t feel safe.”
“But it’s not okay!” Tim bursts out. “Because if I don’t feel safe, then how is Jason supposed to feel safe? He shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable just because my brain is screwed up!”
There’s a faint sound by the door, barely more than an intake of breath, and his eyes snap to the no-longer empty doorway.

Summary
Bruce didn’t want to die.
But he could think of no death more beautiful for a dying father.
To have achieved it in protecting his son, cradled in the arms of a boy once too small to wrap his arms around his waist.
It pained him to leave his son so early, so abruptly, but if it had to happen, Bruce couldn’t think of a more worthwhile death.
“I love you.”
Bruce keeps dying. He does not know that he's already died multiple times today but his children do. And they're going to save him.
(Groundhog Day fic told entirely from the perspective of someone who doesn't remember the loop.)

In the corridors, the back of Percy's neck burns. People are always watching him, even with the hoodie. They've learned to recognise him.
They're not bad glances, he knows. They still feel the same as every high school bully and every concerned teacher and every pacing monster, though. He's spent so long making himself invisible, hiding as best he could in schools until he inevitably got himself expelled, cloaking himself from monsters, making himself small behind rocks in Tartarus.
Now he can't hide. And he doesn't know what to do with it. Even when he'd been a leader, of Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter or the Seven, it was always for a battle, and he always knew what had to be done. Now, there is nothing to be done. Now, there is nothing to look at but him, Percy Jackson, boy with roman tattoos and a greek necklace and not as many scars as he should have.
