Kaveh has insomnia. He has been feeling depressed for a while now. Feeling useless, his body won't seem to let him rest.
Alhaitham notices Kaveh's struggles and asks him to sleep together with him.
Kaveh is initially confused, but agrees, since he thinks there is nothing to lose.
