“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Regulus thought after what happened when Sirius came out, his mother would have reacted differently when it was his turn to make the confession. That she wouldn’t lose both sons. But he was wrong.
That’s how he finds himself waiting to be picked-up by the brother he hasn’t seen in 3 years. Ready to crash on his couch in the small city of Berkeley, California.
Sirius’ flatmates are a far cry from his London friends. There’s his boyfriend, Remus. A graduate student who plays albums that sound more like noise than melody. Peter, who’s quiet and kind and brings everyone coffee and bagels from his job. And James, who seems intent on ignoring Regulus’ presence completely, even when Regulus gets a job beside him at their local record shop.
