This was typically the part where Rumi would be expected to introduce herself, but she didn't seem to give a flying fuck about what was expected of her if the way she still just stared even as Celine cleared her throat pointedly said anything.

"Hey, we got you something from the store last night."
Rumi squinted between them and the bag. "Why."
"Because as much as you don't seem to like us, we like you just fine."

"Well, come on. Aren't you going to bite somebody with those big sharp teeth of yours?" Mira prompted again with a raised brow, shaking Zoey's arm slightly, as if genuinely trying to entice Rumi to take a bite.
Instead of taking the proffered bait, Rumi turned her head away with a strong air of ‘well now I don't want to.'
"Thought so." Mira drawled, unimpressed. "Now how about you let us help you inside?"

Summary
It had been six months since they lost Rumi.
Six months since that terrible fight in the snow, when it was so cold Mira's fingers had started to go numb on her gok-do. When Zoey hadn't been able to throw her shin-kal accurately due to the wind. When Rumi had broken off from the two of them, chasing down a group of Faceless, vanishing into the storm.
It was a mistake, they all knew it.
And that mistake had cost them.
Mira would never be able to get Rumi's scream out of her memory, too far for her to do anything about it, too late to save her soulmate.
They didn't even have a body to bury, vanished into ash by the time Zoey and Mira made it to the point Rumi had been felled.
Or. Rumi is turned into a weapon. Mira and Zoey are forced to figure out if anything remains of their soulmate

Summary
Gwi-ma was mad, the Gwisin had observed, though she did not wholly know why. The most she understood was that the Gwisin had made a mistake that Gwi-ma did not take kindly to, and the memory was not deemed relevant. She did not know if the act was meant to be a mercy or an unkindness.
Gwi-ma often found entertainment in letting the Gwisin wonder of his motivations. It was one of his many games, tampering with her memories, yet leaving enough evidence of the lost time. Her mind would run laps in paranoia, unsure if he simply spared her the hardship or deprived her a blessing. Most recently, the Gwisin awoke to a grievous gash along her side and no recollection as to its origin, while her mask was absent from her face.
