Summary
Doing a new version of the original Cyrus run, I'm feeling back into his mood and I hope I can get some better stories this time!
Chapters 1-6: Cyrus breaks free from the Special Directive, becoming a vigilante to protect the first human to show him kindness. Even if it means putting his life on the line to face an old monster.
Chapters 7-14: Wanting to learn more about the hero scene, Sidestep meets Owl, Sparrow, and Overlord, becoming entangled in their personal drama, while becoming Charge's sidekick.
Chapters 15-19: Cyrus begins getting closer to the rangers. Meanwhile, Psychopathor causes a spectacular prison riot and escapes, setting dozens of other dangerous villains free.
Chapter 20-25: With the help of a murderous shapeshifter, Psychopathor unleashes a plot to take down most of the city heroes. Ortega kisses Cyrus.
Chapters 26-?: Emboldened by success, Cyrus fully assumes the role of a hero, confronting his first villain nemesis in Husk.

And then something strikes you in the gut, hard enough that you can’t breathe and your head spins with stars. You throw yourself backward and draw up your fists. You may be drunk, but if he wants a fight, you will fight until he kills you. But he hasn’t moved. His hands remain unmoved at his side.
The feeling comes again. But you’re prepared this time. It’s fear. Your own, and it’s so strong that your heart feels like it will tear open. You don’t realize why your hands are shaking, why the panic attack comes so strongly, so brutally, until you notice that his thoughts have stopped rambling.
He is staring at you like he’s seen a ghost.
He recognizes you.
“Sidestep?”

He had walked in the dark hallways of the dungeon, all the way to the cell, and the prisoner had turned to look at him.
Skeppy had seen Bad, and he had walked away.
His best friend is wounded and imprisoned because he tried to assassinate Technoblade, and Skeppy walked away.OR: Bad is an assassin and a traitor, and he is in jail. Skeppy needs to deal.

“We can strike a deal.” Dream offers. “You can spare the town.” It’s almost a plea, in the way he says it.
“I could.” The pirate says, Dream staring straight ahead with clenched fists. “I could leave the rest alive. I could go back on my ship, return to my captain, and leave you as you are.”
Wilbur leans closer to the ledge of the window, straining his ears to catch their voices, trying to see every single detail, since he might be the only one left in this building to witness it.
“But.” The Blood God stops in his pacing, a wide grin on his face. “You have something he wants.”
He then lifts his chin up, looking straight at Wilbur.
“Or someone.”
Wilbur freezes, the air in his lungs feeling stuck as he sees red.
(Or, Wilbur was stolen from his family as a baby to be used as a threat so that The Angel of Death, the world's most infamous pirate, could be kept at bay. But Phil's learnt how to gather together loyal crew, and now they've finally come to get back what belongs to him.)

“We know it’s risky,” Jack told him, “but we’re thinking of pulling the heist the night of the sendoff ball. All the royals will be in attendance, meaning most of the guards will be concentrated there and not in the rest of the palace.”
“All the royals will be at the sendoff ball, right?” Niki then asked, raising an eyebrow at Tommy.
“Uh, yeah, they will,” Tommy muttered, staring at the paper. “King Dream, Emperor Schlatt, Monarch Eret, King Philza, Prince Wilbur, General Technoblade, and, uh, Prince Theseus.”
“Hell yeah, and we’ll be able to swoop in, steal Schlatt’s book, and get out before anyone even notices us. It’ll be a piece of cake!” Tubbo declared with a grin, patting Tommy’s shoulder.
“Yup,” Tommy said quietly, gaze still fixated on the paper. "A piece of cake.”
or, Tommy somehow gets himself involved in a heist, while forgetting to mention that he's also royalty.
