John smiles and studies him thoughtfully and Izzy nearly cricks his neck looking up at him. “I thought we could try a new look. Maybe experiment with green to go with your pretty eyes. What do you think?”
He’s used to it now, the flirting, the compliments, the kisses, but it never grows old. After a lifetime of neglect, the attention still fills him with warmth and starts a flutter deep down in his stomach. “Yeah, I like the sound of that. Will my Goddess be making an appearance?” She doesn’t always but John’s eyes have a twinkle and he knows he’s in for a good time.
Taking his hand, John raises it to his lips and kisses it, his eyes sparkling. “Oh, she will, love. She has plans for you.”
