Rin was always a guy who wore his heart on his sleeve. He was always happy and didn't let anything get to him! Rin was strong emotionally and was loyal to those he cared about. Nothing affected him because he never showed it; he was brave and never felt fear!
That's what the others thought, anyway.

Summary
Rin has faint memories of home. A warm embrace, someone to protect, his kin. Those are faint memories he can no longer bring up. He knows where he is, hell with monsters trying to hurt him. His only bright light in this dark version of hell promises freedom. Freedom from this hell. Once he escapes, he'll have to find his home. His home isn't in the mountains of Kyoto, but that's where he ends up. This boy could help him, or maybe he's part of the monsters he ran away from.
Or: Rin was taken at a young age by the Vatican and experimented on for years until he escaped. He runs as far as he can, ending up in an inn in Kyoto and found by a boy. The boy takes him in and teaches him all he can, or he tries to. Is this really what his first year at True Cross will start?
*My first Blue Exorcist Fic! This will go according to the anime ending in season 1, by the way. So, if you have yet to see season 2 or read the manga, then no problem!

Summary
He reaches the door within seconds, his small shaking hands reaching for the doorknob before he yanks it open revealing what he feared. His friend on the exam table is being pinned by two doctors, blood running down his left eye. His friend notices him and looks at him with wide, frantic eyes, warning him to leave. Izuku meets the gaze with scared yet determined eyes of his own.
“Kacchan! I’ll save you don’t worry okay?”
The doctors look at Izuku with a stone-cold and angry glare then share the same look with one another. One doctor holds the bleeding boy to the table while the other doctor turns to Izuku. The boy on the table looks behind Izuku his eyes widening with dread.
“Deku behind you-“
Izuku turns just in time to see a soldier who was pointing a machine gun at him, and Izuku trembles in fear while backing up. Izuku’s eyes suddenly narrowed and glowed.

Summary
After gifting Shadow his den so he has somewhere safe to stay while on the run, Sonic promises to keep his fugitive identity and their growing friendship a secret so he can protect him. Meanwhile, the Wachowski's are under strict orders from G.U.N. to report any sightings of Shadow's whereabouts and are totally clueless to the stowaway hiding in their back garden.
However, Sonic’s plans to keep both sides of his life from colliding are dashed when Tails finds out he’s been sheltering Shadow, and now it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the family catch on, too.
Sonic is faced with the option to come clean and betray Shadow’s trust by admitting everything to his family, or jeopardising Maddie and Tom’s livelihoods by staying silent and deceiving G.U.N.
Unless, or course he just maintains a perfect balance without letting his two lives overlap. That should be fine so long as he can keep his (probably, maybe, definitely romantic) feelings for Shadow under wraps.
What's the worst that can happen?
