Coming home from sports, Adora is surprised to not only find her roommate - Catra on her bed and kneading the covers but that she's in heat and has stolen her letterman.While Adora suspects that she’s been marked, she has no idea of the seriousness of it nor that Catra is disgustingly in love with her, however as the magicat’s senses climb towards overload, Catra really can’t take much more of this self inflicted torture before something, or someone , gives.

Now, it smelled of absence. Of clean clothes that no one would get dirty for six days. Of a fridge stocked with food for just one person.
Catra leaves Adora when a massive opportunity for Catra's professional future clashes with Adora's current job. Adora had been the ultimate basketball player and commentator, but she is only just realizing that being the best came with a price—and that price was her wife and son.
