Janis picked up her pencil again, pressing the tip against the paper. Janis then looked back at the spot where Regina was standing just a couple of moments ago, feeling her heart clench in a way that didn’t make sense.
Fuck it, this can wait. I need to see what’s in that dumb blonde’s head.
The artist tossed her sketchbook and pencil into her backpack, slinging it onto her shoulders and rushed down the bleachers and into the school hallway where it led towards the parking lot. When Janis spotted Regina, the blonde just got out from the bathroom. Regina froze at the sight of Janis, but didn't say anything. She just turned on her heels and made a beeline for the parking lot that is at the end of the hallway.
Did she just walk away without insulting me? I'd pay good money to see what’s messing with her.
Janis picked up her pace, now jogging to try to catch up. As soon as she did that, Regina began to walk faster as well. Her steps on the edge between speed walking and jogging. Janis' heart clenched a little, those old affections that shouldn't exist anymore.
