Summary
Edward Teach is a famous ocean explorer/documentarian. However, the passion he once felt for his work has dulled. Semi-retired, he continues his career as a scuba diving instructor, all the while navigating his changing personal relationships. Ed has faced numerous extreme physical challenges but nothing has been more difficult than finding connection.
Stede Bonnet is a divorced ichthyologist. After years of working with museum specimens, Stede hungers for the sense of wonder that he had when he was young. Making some friends would be nice, as well. At the behest of his ex-wife, Stede decides to sign up for a scuba certification course.
