Amy hated the way she noticed the slight variations of blue and green in the usually muddy color of his irises, barely visible with the overblown size of his pupils. His breath brushed against her lips, too fast, and Amy realized just how close he was. Jonah seemed to notice too, his eyes flicking down to her lips before she had the sense to release him.“Phone.” She demanded, holding out her hand expectantly. He remained silent as he pulled the blackberry from his coat and placed it delicately in her palm, his fingers brushing against her hand. Amy told herself it was the wine which spread the warmth through her, little ripples buzzing across her skin, spreading outward in ever-growing circles which began where their skin had briefly connected.
