Killua waited in his car patiently until he saw every last member of the hockey team leave the rink. Once he was certain the arena was empty, he turned off the engine and slung his bag over his shoulder. He'd barely made it into the building before Ikalgo leaned over from the front desk and chided, "You won't be able to avoid them forever, ya know.”
Sharp blue eyes looked up from under a tuft of snowy white bangs. “It's worked so far.”
Ikalgo fashioned Killua with a doubtful expression, amusement tugging at the corners of his mouth.
“You keep telling yourself that, and let me know how it goes.”

Summary
It's been 5 years since Killua and Gon left eachother at the world tree. Ignoring all contact from Gon, Killua cuts himself off from the people who care about him the most. Being forced back into the job he hates with his whole being, Killua is slowly breaking.
He doesn't realize how determined Gon is to find him and bring him back towards the light.
