So he said nothing. Instead, he took the long way, stretching the moment just to share the same air with her. It calmed him, knowing she wasn't getting married today — that for now she was with him, in his car, and he was taking care of her. That way, he could let his mind drift and imagine that she was running away with him on her wedding day, with her beautiful veil on and his leather jacket wrapped around her.
The evidence that she almost belonged to another, but ended up choosing him.

Later that morning they were sharing a large blanket on the couch, both hovering over Colin’s laptop like horny gremlins, staring at the screen. Colin had pulled up an Incognito Chrome tab and Pen raised an eyebrow. “Does anyone else use this computer but you?” she asked rhetorically.
Colin huffed. “I mean – no, but what if I get hit by a bus and my Mum goes through my shit and sees my last search history was about how to safely fuck my girlfriend in the arse? I’d die.”
“You’d already be dead,” Pen pointed out.
“Yeah, okay — you want to do this research or not?”
She did a cute little salute. “Aye aye captain, let’s find out how to get my bum properly railed.”
