Summary
He’s been following Keeley for ten minutes when he realizes he’s being a bit of a creep. He just can’t quite work up the courage to stop his ex-girlfriend in the middle of the sidewalk and ask her for life advice. The sad thing is that Keeley is the only person he really could ask - things with his mum are still weird and even if his dad had ever had any useful advice to give, he’s still pissed off about all the things Jamie did to piss him off. But they’re not dating anymore (she’s with Roy of all people), so it doesn’t seem like the thing to do.
He thinks hard about following her into the coffee shop anyway. He really, really needs to talk to someone, and she’d have good insight on whether he stood a chance of getting his spot back at Richmond. Or any spot, really.
The door of the coffee shop swings closed, though, and he catches his dark, super-villain-y reflection in it, and he thinks, 'pull yourself together, man,' and he keeps walking.
Or
The story of Jamie Tartt, a long walk, and too many doors.
Or
A different, angstier version of Jamie's return to Richmond, diverging from the events in S2:E2.

Summary
Jamie Tartt is hard of hearing due to a few too many knocks to the head when he was growing up. He doesn’t realize this until coming back to Richmond after LCA, where he doesn’t just have to navigate becoming a better person, but accepting that needing accommodations isn’t soft. This journey follows from childhood, then all through canon up until the end of season 3.

Summary
“I want to be better than him,” Jamie sulked at Ola’s, and that –
That was something Roy could reach for, seize on, anchor himself in the turbulent sea of bullshit that had been figuring out just who that fuck even is Roy Kent if he’s not playing the game.
Deep down, he supposed he’d known since Tottenham last season that the answer spun somewhere in the orbit of Jamie fucking Tartt.
“I could train you,” he offered.

Summary
Nobody has ever accused Jamie Tartt of being a genius, but it doesn't take a genius to figure sleeping after Wembley would be a difficult task. He's in Roy's spare bedroom. The spare bedroom in Roy Kent's house. On Roy Kent’s street. Up Roy Kent’s staircase. His spare bedroom. The one he offers to guests and stuff, and based on the fluffy pink unicorn staring at him from the assortment of pillows, one Phoebe often stays in. Which, mental, right?
