Of course, there’s no way he can be sure that’s true, but maybe... maybe it doesn’t matter. It’s not like he’s bastardizing the memory of the guy, if he just thinks it privately in his head. Sure, Eddie would probably want to see a woman in her underwear serving food instead, but surely he’d get it, on some level?

Work has been hell lately, and Dan's goal this Friday night is to turn his brain off for as long as it’ll let him. This doesn’t look like sinking into a nice bath or curling up in front of the TV; he needs a shock to his system, and he needs to find the perfect stranger in this bar to give it to him. When he locks eyes with a dark-haired man wearing a suit in the shadows, there's the click of instant attraction, and Dan doesn't need much more than that to follow him deeper into the club.
(not technically a sequel to "It Was Saturday Night (I Guess That Makes It Alright)" but they're definitely best friends that make out sometimes)
