He didn't pick up extra shifts, because he would have been yelled at, but he did go down to the tech lab and work on his suit. Some things had needed repairs. And he wanted to upgrade other things. Robert kept his head down, focused on one foot in front of the other. Why? Because if he didn't, he'd fall apart. At least, someone started to pick up his wayward pieces on the way.

Summary
It takes several seconds for Dean's brain to register what is happening to him. He can pinpoint some of the voices. Bobby shouting orders, as he usually does, and Benny squeezing his hand and telling him to hang in there. Benny sounds worried, so Dean tries to squeeze back, only to find that he can't. Something's wrong. Seriously wrong.
A voice is speaking to him, but Dean can't make out any of it over the insufferable ringing in his ears. When darkness overcomes him a third time, Dean's last thought is to pray that Sammy will be alright.

Summary
After a drunken brawl leaves a man dead, Steve Rogers is arrested and, on the advice of his lawyer, pleads guilty to manslaughter in hopes of a lesser sentence. Unfortunately, because of Steve's background and experience, he's given a sentence of five to ten years in a maximum-security prison.
Trapped in an endless sea of guilt and fear, Steve does whatever he can to survive this nightmare and not lose himself to the horrors and violence of prison life, especially the vicious abuse at the hands of cruel and sadistic prison guards.
The last thing Steve expects is to find a true connection with anyone, let alone fall in love. But there's something intriguing about his surly, miserable, mad-at-the-world bunkmate, Barnes, and whatever it is, it might be the key to both of them getting through this terrifying ordeal together.
